TICKS....YEESCH...A Tickish Situation

Woe is me!!! Lacie here...I just want ya to know that Mumsie has picked two...yes TWO evil ticks off of me in the last week...and we've heard a lot of our friends have been bitten by those nasty creatures, too...so get ur Peeps to check your fur...those things are GROSS!!! And they can make ya really sick, too!

Here's a pic of the tick that bit Mango recently.....

Hmm...actually, I think this tick is rather attractive in a primative sorta way...she, I mean, it has great lookin' highlights.....

This is what they told Mumsie to use to detick me...worked too...got the whole thing...none of those pesky breakage issues....I was a little disturbed to see a closeup of the tick that bit MOI....
That's terrierfyin', isn't it? I do see some similarities....

Yep...NUFF SAID.....

Funny how my brothers never have these ticky issues...oh, wait a minute...I think I figured out the answer...it's Scruffy's Anti Tick Fart System....
Anydog, kitty etc. needin' ticky protection can contact Scruffman for further details...I suggest a gas mask...obviously, when Scruff clears a room, the ticks leave too....SHEESCH...

That is not any fun. Maybe you could get a spa day out of it. At petsmart, you can get your nails done. I'd say having two ticks pulled off you deserves a nail job.

Thanks for the warning about the ticks, guys. I didn't know that they were so big and had faces. They look even more dangerous than I originally thought. Yikes!

Lacie, I hope that you are feeling okay after having those ugly creatures stuck to you. Just thinking about it makes me shudder.

Love and Koobuss Kisses,
Koobie

Well ... I have to admit ... when I saw the post title, I wasn't sure if you were talking about your ticker or my tic or the black bloated blood suckin' bugs. (I was relieved it wasn't your ticker.)

Those ticks you're talking about are NASTY! One time Moma and our Girl found one walking across the floor - it was swelled up bigger than a marble - about to burst he was so fat. No idea where he came from, but somebody fed it well. NASTY NASTY NASTY! We're wondering now if we'd looked more closely if it'd had one of those ugly faces you just showed us! NASTY!

On another note ... ummm, Lacie. I tried to call you and tell you personally ... ummm ... well, I tried my best to explain on my bloggie. I hope you understand my feelings.

Love,
Jake (and Fergi) xxoo

It was pretty funny.

Oh Lacie, we really don't like tics!
You will have to make sure you wear the right perfume to make you unattractive to tics.
Yes we know it is difficult for you ever to be unattractive but sometimes a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do!
Anyways we came over from Jakes blog to say 'don't go breaking his heart' - you can sing along with us if you like!!!
love and kisses

Ticks are not nice at all. Funnily enough we have managed to stay clear of them this year, however, they have been jumping on our Dad instead. Eeeeeuw.

Have there been lots of winds or storms? The only time we had a tickish problem was right after Hurricane Wilma when they were out in force. Snd they do propagate in cycles, we've been told/

But we do check regularly and if we see any with those very strange features, we will know where they csme from!!!

Eeeeeeew.

Those ticks looks absolutely terrible. One bite from those and who know what could happen to one.
Please take extra precautions when you are out and about.
Stop over tomorrow if you have time. I have a ready post and there is a dedication which includes Asta.

Ewe! Ticks!
Ya'll are making me itch with all this talk about ticks! Aren't they like those thingys that fall out of trees n bushes? Must be why we don't have too many. No trees unless you count palm trees. Well, we have an oak tree, but never had any ticks hiding in it. I hope you don't get tick disease like the RH.
Take care..Bonnie

I thought I would come back and reread this post as just as I was about to hit send yesterday the cone monster tried to attack me and I got mad and momma had to defend me.

I do not appreciate that obviously retouched tick photo you are spreading about the internets. Bad beast! Bad beast! I think you might get ticks because you are putting your wirey little face where it doesn't belong, how about that?

I sure hope you don't get the tick disease. Tell momma to watch out for sudden lameness and lethargy (whatever that is). She says the lethargy part might be easier to detect on an active gal like you.

Hey, what did you do to Jake? Brainwash him? I think he is in love. Poor guy.

Slobbers,
Mango

Laci, I know that you are much too delicate to have a anti tick farting system! I'm glad you mom found them.

Oh poor Laciegirl. So sorry you've been bitten by such a ferocious looking tick! We've never seen any, but get a treatment monthly, nonetheless. Love the tutu. Now we must venture to your other posts to get caught up. Dad's last day here today, so we've been hanging with him alot and failed to visit blogs for a while.
Love you bunches, Hootie

Ticks are disgusting. We use Frontline Plus and it seems to work pretty well, but we also think it sets off seizures in Phantom. We are looking for some alternatives now.

Hope you stay tick-free.
