BLUSH!!! And Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh Dogs, Kitties and Hammies!!!! We are blushin' as red as this pic!!!!!!!!!! Oh My. I can hardly catch my breath!!!!! Maggie and Mitch nominated us for Awesome Blog Award...um.......

AND WE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I (for once) do not know what to say. We were barkless...completely silent...and then we all YELLED at once!!!!!! Thank you, dear Maggie and Mitch for nominating us and thank you all for voting for us. We looked at the list of prior recipients....we are humbled. (All three terrier's heads bow to the audience.....)

And as if that weren't enough....Momo and Pinot nominated this picture of me in my Easter Bonnet...and it won PICTURE OF THE MONTH.....

Oh My Goodness. I can't thank you enough! BOOM!

Scruffy here...Lacie just passed out cold on the floor. I don't think she's taken a breath since she found out. She and that silly bonnet. She prattles, she prances and she skips around here singing silly songs. Babystan and I are absolutely thrilled for both of these honors!

Babystan here....We also want to thank the Whippets profusely for nominating us for post of the month. While it didn't win, we want you to know how honored we are for thinking of us!!!!

Mumsie here! This is actually our 100th post today!!!

We can't believe how many wonderful caring dogs, kitties, hammies, wheelies, not to mention hoomans we have met. We see so much caring spreading over these blogs...compassion, empathy, humor, love, pathos, and laughter. Never in my wildest dreams did I have any idea of what was ahead the day I stumbled onto Axel's blog while googling those poor WFT's in Montreal. Each blogger has a voice and our voices blend together to make a song. Sometimes it's funny, sometimes it's for a bigger purpose. What amazes me is the harmony that exists...even from all corners of the earth...different backgrounds, belief systems, and customs are shared. All are respected. You are all fabulous teachers. For this I thank you!!!!!!!

Lacie...I'm back. It really wasn't necessary of Scruffy and Babystan to throw a bucket of water on me.

Hey we wanna introduce you dogs/kitties and hammsterries to a new doggie on DWB's...his name is Huck and he is a handsome terrier. (Course, we've never seen a terrier who isn't handsome, but we're a tad biased...) He just got a new Bro...a shihpoo named TomTom (he's the one with the bunny ears!!!!)....go and visit his bloggie http://huckledoodle.blogspot.com/...and say we sent ya....

Question, how do you post a link with JUST the name and not the whole website. While I hate to admit ignorance on any subject, I can't figure it out!!!

Asta leaves for Wome tomorrow and I miss her already! Have the bestest time, Sweet Girl. Try to find an Internet cafe and let us know how your trip is going!!!

Flower Power!

Lacie here!

Last weekend, Mumsie and Daddy went to the Flower Show at the conservatory in Pittsburgh. Silly blogger seems to have loaded this pic twice, but it's pretty so we didn't think you'd mind. Mumsie wouldn't let us go. GRRRRR. But she said she'd name flowers after us. All of these bootiful flowers to choose from for my special one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is Lacie Flower. It's a cactus. It's not a flower and it's got nasty prickly things all over it. Mumsie said you wouldn't need an explanation. I'm offended.

These crazy yellow tulips are Scruffy Tulips. Scruffy's fur looks JUST like these when he gets up in the morning!

This is Babystan Flower. Look at the size of it's mouth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're lying here thinkin' it might be a good idea to go and dig up some more of Mumsie's bulbs that are JUST startin' to come through the mulch!!! Oh...and I'm sure you girls are noticing I'm a little more blond than usual. I was readin' a gossip magazine and left my highlights in too long while I sat under the dryer. Oopsie!

Here's Scruffy and I in a down stay. I wouldn't let Stan in the pic, cuz I'm mad at him.
Mumsie was outside the other night playing fetch with Scruff, when she noticed Stan zoomin' cross the yard. Now that in itself is not unusual, but the fact HE HAD ME IN HIS HUGE DALE MOUTH was a really odd site. Mumsie went tearin' after him screamin' her head off, but he carried me for about 50 feet....he dropped me and I whipped around and bit him. Felt good.
Mumsie was tryin' not to laugh and yell at him at the same time. Smart Dale. He dropped in a big mud puddle in the yard and started to roach. He was one muddy mess.
I'm thinkin' I may need therapy livin' with these boyz. No wonder I'm prickly like a cactus!

Wheelin' Wednesday!!!

Greetings! I know a couple of things. First of all, I don't have wheels....and secondly it's Tuesday, not Wednesday. My name's Foxy and I wanted to get a small jump on Wheelie Wednesday.
I am not a wheelie....I don't, um, have hindlegs either. But I manage! I am very old and a clone of a Foxy puppet Mumsie had as a girl in the 60's. That would be the 1960's...from the way the dogs talk in this house, you might think she's from the previous century. I am in charge of the Wheelies. Sorta like the way Lacie is in charge of the boyz. Let me introduce you to them.

This big fellow is Gilbert. He's darn old too, and looks well loved. He's smitten with some wheeled foxy in NYC named Myrna. Now he knows she has lotsa boyfriends, but he thought if she just looked at his face she might fancy him.

How can ANY Wheelie resist those eyes????? There's a certain foxy wheelie in Iowa he'd like to meet too, but he said she's "taken" whatever that means!

Here's the group shot...you've already met the Scruffy, Lacie and Babystan Felties that Penny and Poppy's mom made and sent us!!! Aren't they a handsome lot??? They make Gilbert look rather large! Their small turning radius makes them get into everything. I have to watch them constantly!!!!!

Another group shot...nice terrier profiles!

This little guy is the runt of Seymour's litter. He's quite small, but what he lacks in size he more than makes up for in attitude. His name is Sullivan.
That's all we're gonna post for today. That's probably enough for all of you to absorb.
We have many things to discuss on subsequent Wheelie Wednesdays...but for today we just wanted to bark out "Hello!!!!!""

Happy Spring!

Hello Everybody....we want to wish everyone a Happy Easter to those who celebrate it....and a Happy Spring to all in this hemisphere!!!! To our friends Down Under....enjoy summer while it lasts!!!!! As you can see here, we awakened with snow this morning. It was tough gettin' Babystan to keep his bunny ears on.... As you can see, by the time we participated in the Easter Parade, he had yanked them off and tossed them to a cute Airegirl on the sidewalk. He said she looked like Cassidy. It was a lovely day....gray, overcast, and cold. The usual for the 'Burgh.....

Mumsie and Daddy decided to go to the Spring Flower show at the conservatory here in the city. It was bootiful. We'll post pix of it next week, but these two of the flowers were ones they took today.......Have a great weekend, Everybody!!

Bunny Barks,

Lacie, Scruffy, and Babystan!

Define Hippy!!

WOOT!!!!! Have you dogs/cats/hammsterriers ever seen us look so good?????

These 3 adorable Felties arrived this week from Penny and Poppy's Mom in Georgia....she makes these doggies....and does an amazing job! AND...she made them to look JUST like us!!! My fur is lighter than Babystan's....(and my haughty regal expression is pawfect!!!)....and Scruffy's spots match exactly!! We look fab...and those wheels....it gets really noisy 'round here at night with all the wheeled doggies flyin' round the kitchen!

You can see the other side of Scruffy here....(too bad his real fur isn't this white...he's spent the week diggin' in the mulch!) Mumsie is totally thrilled with these little guys. She said they are a lot easier to deal with than the real thing.....whatever!!!!!

My sweet friend Koobie bestowed this award upon us. Now I sorta had a meltdown last night. Um....Scruffy and Babystan (who have been takin' "let's tease everyone we know" pills) informed me that we got this award cuz I had a....oh, let me see how they phrased it.....
A LARGE CABOOSE...
LA GRANDE DERRIERE...
A SHELF BIG ENUFF TO PLACE AN ENTIRE SET OF ENCLYCLOPEDIAS...
A SOUTH END THAT HAS SPREAD EAST TO WEST....
or in other words......
A GINORMOUS LAKIE BUTT!!!
I was devastated. I sobbed, cried, whined, threw things and all those mean boyz did was LAUGH.
I tried to look backwards in the mirror...but everytime I turned my head far enuff...my butt was around the corner. Scruffy said that's becuz it was too big to all fit in the mirror.
Sniff....Sob.....I can hardly think about it.....
Mumsie tried to reassure me that HIP means COOL....and this is a great honor.
But first, I had to get her to take a pic so I could compare sizes.

Easier said than done. We don't like to all stand in the same direction. You'll note Scruffy was nibblin' on Mumsie's hand there......

OK....this is better....what do you guys think....is it huge?? I mean Stan's butt looks like the size of Kansas...and Scruffy's is like all bony and well...we needn't go there.

Here's a clearer pic. Well, I'm not gonna believe those stoopid boyz....I'm proud of my girlish figure...and even if I'm too fat or too skinny, it's what's on the inside that counts...!!!!!
Now, we'd like to pass this award on to......
Gussie......he is truly TOTALLY HIP and we love his bloggie!!!!!!!

Thank you, Sweet Koobie for passin' on this award!!!!!

Barkin' at ya!!
Lacie

Lacylulu...May She Run Free!

We are sad. Very, very sad. We just found out that Lacylulu crossed the Rainbow Bridge today...and it hurts....Lacy was an older gal....she had to have some ear surgery, but sadly she didn't pull through. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and we know we will see Lacy again. We know dogs who have passed this way before will be there to greet her.
Run free, Lacy, run free!

Happy St. Patrick's Day from Pittsburgh!

We love our city...even though all three of us are transplants to the 'Burgh....ya gotta admit, it's a great place to be a dog! We thought we'd show you a pic of Pittsburgh on March 17th, 1936.
Flood!!
All of the snow was meltin' and pouring into our rivers....the Allegheny and the Monongahela...where those two rivers meet makes the "Point"...there,they turn into the Ohio River. It made one huge flood. Our grandparents used to tell Mumsie about it....yes...1936 was before her time even though it seems like she's 105 yrs old.
That was before flood control. It was the worst natural disaster in the history of Western Pennsylvania. We hope it was the last!!
Doesn't our city look better today? People think Pittsburgh is ugly, sooty and dirty, but it's really quite beautiful! What a pawsome view of the city at night!!!
Have a great St. Patrick's Day...May the luck of the Irish be with you all!!!
O'Scruffy
O'Lacie

Sick of Winter...or at least Mumsie Is!!

YO Everybody!!! Scruffman and Babystan here....we tied Lacie up so we could post...actually she's puttin' some highlights or somethin' in her fur....yeesh...Girls....! We all went for a walk this week so we thought we'd share some sights! We have a huge park by us about 5 minutes away. It's pawsome!!
Um...the trees are a little random at times...these things grow on it. Every year there are more. Babystan was skeered. Don't even go there, Scruffy....you were the one with the tucked tail!!!

When we got outta the car, lookie who we ran into....a pack of terriers....NOTHING like this has ever happened to us before!!!! (Lookie at how cute we all are! Fuzz butt city!!!)

These adorable lasses are Brady and Erin....two Irish terriers....Of course they got to go to the St. Patrick's Day parade in Pittsburgh today....aren't they beautiful???????
(Wonder if they date???)

This big Airegirl is Zoey....she made Babystan look like...well a Baby!!!!!
(Shut up, Scruffy....I was bowin' to her...in respect...!!!)

Here are the hoomans tryin' to get us lined up by size in a SIT position....look at Lacie...she's not a happy chica!!!!! Her tail's tucked further than Stanley's with the scary tree. Stan always snaps at her tail...now she thinks ALL dogs are tryin' to get her tail. As if we'd want it!!!!!

(I can't help snappin' at her tail...it's like a delicacy...lakie tail...yummmmmmm!!!)

Well, Lacie and Zoey are sittin'....I was um snarlin'....I like to show the pack who's boss....

(Scruffy, you snarl at everyone....you're just nasty!)

Not a very successful sit for the doggies...look at Mumsie laughin' at Lacie being a skairdy cat....
(We're not a shining example of Misty Pine's Obedience Classes....hmmm....)

Mumsie's sick of winter...so we're gonna take you to St. John's down in the Carribean.....um...we'd love to be there now. These pix were snapped a couple of years ago....we weren't even alive yet......

WOW....St. John's version of a Lakeland terrier...can't u just imagine this doggie on Lacie's lifeguard chair???? We love the claws....she needs a pedicure in the worst way!!!!!

AHH.....Mumsie's favorite beach. She said it was like walkin' into a computer screensaver. And yes, that water is as warm as it looks......we could wade right in there and chase the fishies...!!!

Now Mumsie may be scared of birdies but she loves Hermit crabs...look how big this guy is next to her fingers. She's probably lucky to still have fingers, based on the size of his pincer claw.....!!!

We went out today and played in the mulch. Dug in the mulch. Smeared ourselves with the mulch. Then we rolled in it. Um...we were in the shower for a very long time. Mumsie had to scrub the shower floor. I think she's ready for the DRY part of Spring!!!!!
Barkin' at Ya....

To the Aviary.....!!!

OK...we figure everydog, kitty and hammie is quite tired of seein' our family room, though this is rather a nice likeness of me in my lifeguard chair.........so we're takin' you on a tour of the AVIARY. That's like a zoo for birdies....Mumsie and Daddy went last weekend and left us at home. So they thought.

Here's the sign...see all our snow...bet you guys never get tired of lookin' at snow either.

OK...check out this sign....I mean who would put a sign up that sez a stoopid thing like that.

Yep....this is Lacie Bird...like me....I transformed bodies so I could fit in here. Don't my leggies look model long? And what a color mix...orange and pink. Here I am doin' my ballerina arabesque on one footie. Graceful, huh!!

Here's Babystan. This pic is a little blurry cuz he was flappin' his large Dale wings.

Ahh...feedin' time for the Dales...look at there long Dale snoots openin' up to catch the fishies they were tossin' 'em.

Yep! That Stan never misses a chance to eat.

Here's Scruffy. Why they have a monkey in a birdie place is beyond me. Typical of Scruffy to be hangin' upside down.

Isn't this great!!! Even Mumsie turned into a bird. 'Cept she's actually really afraid of birds. It started when she was a small child and watched that Alfred Hitchcock movie, "The Birds."
Then when Big Bruvver and Sissy were small and they went to the beach, they would hide french fries by Mumsie's beach chair (she would be reading a mystery, eating pretzels and drinkin' Diet Pepsi...very predictable) and the seagulls would swoop down and make her go into cardiac arrest.
Darn it...there was supposed to be a pic here of the AED(Automatic External Defibrilator) that they had at the Aviary so we could shock Mumsie if she arrested. But she didn't. She said she's gonna feel a lot safer at the Pittsburgh Flower Show. NO BIRDS!
