A Shower of Love!!

OMD....Laciecupcakes here....guess what we're doin' this weekend....going to Charlotte, NC to attend our Big Sissy's bridal shower!!! Bet you can guess her weddin' colors from this cupcake tree...black, pink and white...her signature shades!!! I so plan on hidin' in the suitcase so I can just bury my nose in that buttercream frosting!!! Oh, I so love cake....

This is where the Peeps and Bruvver and Auntie Sus are gonna be stayin'....on Lake Norman....we are all so grateful this trip is even happenin' much less havin' Daddy be able to come too!!! He's doin' fabbers...appears to have made an amazing complete recovery....he's a bit crabby cuz Mumsie's still drivin' him around and he has to take it easy, but that's just for a little bit longer....Stanley has offered to be his chauffeur, but he hasn't taken him up on that.

All this weddin' shower stuff reminded me of Myrna's bridal event...now that was a good time!!!

I certainly intend to wear a lovely hat!!!

Beggin' From Daddy!!

Scruffy here....you know...we could really get used to havin' Daddy around durin' the day...he's a lot more free-handed with the foodables...Mumsie's a bit STIN GEE....



Here we terriers are in fine beggin' postion....Stanny and Lacie are a lot more serious 'bout it...lookit their tails compared to mine.....

See that box of Nilla Vanilla Wafers on the table??? Now, before you get your shorts in a knot, Lacie insisted they be low fat....oh... Nurse Lacie has been INSUFFERABLE...bossin' Daddy and Stan and me around...she said to tell you she contacted the PA Board of Nursing and there is NO RECORD of Baylee ever gettin' her nursing license....harumph, sez the Lacie...

But I digress...don't we look attractive sharin' those cookies with Daddy???

Thank you again for all your well wishes and prayers!!!....Mumsie respectfully suggests you point them toward makin' him take it easy....that's gonna be the toughest thing!!!

Daddy's HOME!!!!!!

Lacie here...CAN YA BELIEVE IT? Daddy got discharged yesterday!!!! He's doing totally fabulous!!!!! A bit sore and very tired, but who gets to sleep in the hospital??!! AS IF.....



And yes, I've been doing an excellent job nursing him!!!



And that brings up a sore subject....


See our hooman sissy-in-law, Auntie Sus??? Here she is standin' in Daddy's hospital room...see that purse she has???

OMD....they smuggled Baylee into the hospital...their cock a poo......permission was not asked......

Look at her peekin' round the door....hey, wait a doggone minute...what's she got on her ginormous cockapoo head?

WHAT????? She stole MY nursing scrub dress with the matching nurse's cap and the removable butt ruffle, a SNITCHYBUG original...the nerve of her......???!!!!!

And it sorta hangs on her...I fill that uniform out properly....

And look at her ears...not twisted neatly up into a proper bun....THAT'S A DEMERIT RIGHT THERE.....

I bet she even has toenail polish on......sheesch.

WHAT??? Baylee, RN??? I didn't even know she'd gone to nursing school....

WHAT THE HECK? Scruffy, Stan and I are now NURSING ASSISTANTS?????

Scruffy here...I don't know what Lacie's whinin' about...she wasn't even here scrubbin' those bedpans out...I think she had a date....sheesch....

Lacie here wearin' my nurse's cap...just got back from the kennel and haven't even had time to slip into my scrub dress...need to rush down to the hospital to take care of daddy....

What ever you guys are all doing is WORKING....I'll turn this over to Mumsie so I can go give Scruff a deserved nip and pack my nursing kit.

Marilyn here...KEEP IT UP...prayers, zen, pawsitive thoughts....it is SO working....he's actually cracking jokes....his sarcastic sense of humor is back...he's up walking around and wanted to shower, but wasn't allowed because of the moniter leads. He suggested that he stick them on me and no one would be the wiser while he showered. Ah NOOOOOO.... He also won't listen to me about sitting on the side of the bed to dress, etc...I told him my patients always listen to me...his comment..."what's your point???"

As for Lacie going to the hospital to visit....well, we may sneak Baylee in there tonight wearing a homemade "therapy cock a poo" vest....

I sneaked a fox terrier into that hospital one other time...um never again....

Thank You All.....

Words can not express how grateful I am for your words of support at this time in our lives.

John was life flighted back up to Pittsburgh today from West Virginia where we were attending a wedding when he became very ill. I positively know your prayers and words of support have helped. They are calling his health status at this point miraculous.

Dogs are still at "camp" but will be returning home tomorrow. I so need them right now.

Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers. We love you all....

Stan here....yes, I'm doing the post...Lacie's GROUNDED...but we'll get to that in a minute......



In our last postie, Mumsie asked me if I wanted to go to the big pool...at the dog park!!! Ya think I'd say no!!! In this heat???!!!



Here I am gettin' my paws wet...it's salt water...and you can just walk right in! Alert readers may 'member this pool as being the one where we figured out Lifeguard Lacie can't swim...oh that was a merry moment....

Yeppers...that Lacie's in trouble again...Mumsie went to the mall today...and was shocked and dismayed at what she saw in the Victoria's Secret window....she took this pic with her phone....

She told Lacie she has a TON of 'SPLAININ' to do....young pups or kitties might want to shield their eyes....

Yep...Lac obviously has some kinda deal worked out with Victoria's Secret...for use of her name and products....Scruffy and I went to the um well Victoria's Secret website and checked out the Lacie Collection...OMD...jamies...if ya could call 'em that...so not flannel...and other unmentionables...she is in soooooooooo much trouble!

And Mumsie said Lacie's grounded....indefinitely...wonder how long that'll last....
