Walkin' on Another Dog's Leash...Reflections of 9/11...

Greetings from South Africa, Everybody!!!! I have finally found a dog who can OUTFLIRT THE LACIE!!! Yeppers....Max's bro TOFFEE....all but BEGGED me for a DATE!!! And he asked me to go and TANGLE!!! At least I think that's what he said.....
Um...maybe he said TANGO....you know...where ya eat the rose!!!

Frankly, I think lovin' is better than fighting......sorta words to live by, huh????

A slightly steamy dance...but it is HOT over here in South Africa......!!!
**********************************************************************************

Scruffy here....
We want to take this time to reflect on the events of 9-11-01. Many of us dogs/kitties and hammies weren't even born yet on that awful day. But we wanna think about what that day meant and how we never ever want something like that to happen again.
We wanna think about the friendships we have with all of you. How we can learn about each other's countries and celebrate our differences....so many times we don't respect others cultures cuz we don't understand them. We haven't walked on another dog's leash, so to speak. But with blogging we can!
We can learn about South Africa or the UK or what it's like living in the Colorado Rockies. We can take a walk through Manhatten and never leave our chairs. Sometimes it's just silliness...sometimes not so silly. We learn...we share...we laugh together...we cry together. We respect eacother. And we learn to love each other. We've become friends!
And with friendship and love comes Peace.
IMAGINE!!!
IMAGINE A WORLD OF PEACE.

With love...you give us HOPE!
Scruffy, Lacie and Babystan

Joe would like to thank Lacie for letting him watch the Steelers game with her, I am guessing he may be in some serious debt to her.

We will definitely take some time to remember and we will hope for peace and tolerance.

Hey there Lacie

What a really beautiful post!!!...the last part! You are totally on the mark! We remember those tragic events in NY city - Mom watched with horror as the world changed forever. Thank you for all those beautiful words. You are so correct when you say we should celebrate our diversity.
...
and as for TOFFEE. Well, he's never had a girlfriend you see! Now that all you ladies are over here he is making up for 13 yrs of drought! Have fun girl, but remember - He's dynamite! I've tried to keep him on a tight leash this end for my entire life and I can tell you -
ITS MISSION IMPOSSIBLE!

Lots of licks

Lovely post - we remember 9/11 and still feel the pain. We wish for a world that is united in peace. There is so much love - we feel it - as you say it is there in the dog bloggers united across the world regardless of difference.

Awwww what a beautiful post. We need a few tissues before we continue.
First thing D thought of this morning when she looked at her calendar was 9/11. Such a tragic day.
We're so happy we have made so many friends from all over the world and to have the opportunity to share our lives and cultures with others. Some of us live in different countries but our lives are so similar. It's the little things that make us different but it's so cool we learn from one another. We all sound different, how bizzare is that. Crikey, hope that makes sense. Aussie jibberish hehe.

Scruffer, thank you for those good words. We should all think on those things more.

Regarding that beast, well, perhaps she has met her match. I never knew she was so limber.

Hey Scruffy - That was beautiful.

Between Lacie's Tangle and your Tribute -- we're both laughing and crying -- but that's kind of the way the world is.

Walking on another dog's leash ... we'll remember that.

Wirey love,

Hey Lacie,
I'm glad you got to see the video.
Did you notice that white thing stuck to my nose....sigh. How very unflattering.
Now my barkday is in November, the 15th. D & B are going to be in New Zealand on the 15th November....how rude!!!!
I must get D to take a video next time we get our frozen hoki fillets. We have loads in the freezer. Next time you pop down I'll give you one to try.

love Noah xx
