To the Aviary.....!!!

OK...we figure everydog, kitty and hammie is quite tired of seein' our family room, though this is rather a nice likeness of me in my lifeguard we're takin' you on a tour of the AVIARY. That's like a zoo for birdies....Mumsie and Daddy went last weekend and left us at home. So they thought.

Here's the sign...see all our you guys never get tired of lookin' at snow either.

OK...check out this sign....I mean who would put a sign up that sez a stoopid thing like that.

Yep....this is Lacie me....I transformed bodies so I could fit in here. Don't my leggies look model long? And what a color and pink. Here I am doin' my ballerina arabesque on one footie. Graceful, huh!!

Here's Babystan. This pic is a little blurry cuz he was flappin' his large Dale wings.

Ahh...feedin' time for the Dales...look at there long Dale snoots openin' up to catch the fishies they were tossin' 'em.

Yep! That Stan never misses a chance to eat.

Here's Scruffy. Why they have a monkey in a birdie place is beyond me. Typical of Scruffy to be hangin' upside down.

Isn't this great!!! Even Mumsie turned into a bird. 'Cept she's actually really afraid of birds. It started when she was a small child and watched that Alfred Hitchcock movie, "The Birds."
Then when Big Bruvver and Sissy were small and they went to the beach, they would hide french fries by Mumsie's beach chair (she would be reading a mystery, eating pretzels and drinkin' Diet Pepsi...very predictable) and the seagulls would swoop down and make her go into cardiac arrest.
Darn it...there was supposed to be a pic here of the AED(Automatic External Defibrilator) that they had at the Aviary so we could shock Mumsie if she arrested. But she didn't. She said she's gonna feel a lot safer at the Pittsburgh Flower Show. NO BIRDS!

Hey, Lacie Girl!

You guys always crack me up. If Mumsie is so scared of birds, why did she go to the Aviary? Is she doing some kind of aversion therapy? Did you guys double dog dare her?

Be sure to give her plenty of lovin'! She works hard for the money, you know.

Goober love & smooches,

A Pelican is a perfect birdie choice for Stan -and Mitch too! We think the boys look a lot alike too despite the teeny age difference! What a neat trip to the Avery! Too bad you guys couldn't have gone too!

Love ya lots,

What a neat aviary! I liked looking at those birds. A lot.

That trick of hiding french fries by your mom's chair was very funny. Hahahahahahaha!

Your transformations are much talent between the 3 of you. Poor Mumsie though, maybe she should stay clear of aviarys.

Hi doggies! Tell Mumsie that the package arrived yesterday afternoon. When Mom wakes up enough, she will post about it. The wheelies will be on their way to your house as soon as Mom packs them in their "crate". Tell Mumsie that Mom thanks her VERY, VERY much! And so does Pockets!

Hi Guys,

That trip to the aviary sure looked like fun, seeing all those pretty and exotic birdies. But, I agree with Mumsie. They can be downright vicious. One day last spring when I was on the deck minding my own business (yeah, right), one swooped down on me and almost carried me off into a big tree! I don't get too close to them. I'll bark at 'em from a distance. Besides, I can't catch them anyway. They can fly and I can't. That's a major advantage.

Love and Koobus Kisses,

Hey Lacie,
Wow, Mama likes the pink Lacey birdies. Did you see that little Wood Duck beside it in your photo?? That is the kind of duckies that live in the woods by us & they nest in our trees & swim in the ponds at mating time. The male duckie is very pretty (which is in your photo), the females are pretty drab looking so they can hide from prey while nesting. Have a great weekend!
