Highlights and Gator Wrasslin'!!!!!

OH MY!!! Before I get into the Poker Game, I just HAD to show you girls the highlights on this um terrier. Look at her beardie...I'm takin' this pic to the groomin' spa with me the next time...they musta had those foils put on pawfectly!!!!
Look at her back...perfectly positioned highlights...from dark brown to light frosted....I AM COMPLETELY IMPRESSED!!!
The Poker Pawty was a complete disaster. Only a few brave doggies showed up to play...so it was mostly Turtles and Gators. It was TERRIERFYING. I guess I should have known when Mr. Gator started callin' me "that tasty little morsel," but in my defense, I thought he was referrin' to some of the Horse Dovers that I had made.
I had run into the kitchen to bring out a fresh plate of chips and gawk a moley and when I came out, Scruff and Babystan were hogtied and the Gators were buildin' a fire. They grabbed me makin' me spill the nasty green gawk a moley all over my blond highlights. I screamed and screamed.....
AND STUFFIE STAN CAME TO THE RESCUE.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our hero!!!

He ran in a zig zag pattern TOWARD the gator and JUMPED ON HIS BACK!!!!!

He wriggled his way up toward his strong gator jaws.......even lost his shades and hat there for a while with all his exertions!!!

AND GRABBED THOSE JAWS AND HELD THEM OPEN......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(He's had lotsa practice watchin' Mumsie tryin' to get stuff outta Scruffy's mouth!)

And for good measure....Mumsie came and SAT on him. That could kill anybody....!!!!!!
You were all right in voicin' your concerns.....
GATORS SHOULD NOT BE MESSED WITH!!!!!
Lacie Girl!

I think Stuffie Stan thinks he's Steve Irwin.
That gator must have been really scared with Stuffie Stan and Mumsie sitting on him cause there is something whizzing out of his mouth......crikey!!!!

Be very careful, Babystan, Scruffy, Stuffie Stan and especially Lacie - there's another one of those gators down in the Sea Pines Center! Even bigger! And right outside one of my favorite restaurants—just luring us unsuspecting pups in with tempting aromas. (And a jewelry store too, to lure in Mommy!)

Don't worry Asta, I'll be sure to protect you when we go to Hilton Head!

Your pal,

Petey

Thank goodness you were able to overcome that gator. You have to be careful who you invite to poker parties. You are lucky you had such a good bodyguard.

Wow, that critter sure has nice hair coloring. We think it's trying to copy the airedales & lakies for hair. Stuffie Stan sure is one brave boy to tackle that alligator. Hope he hog tied it's mouth shut, hehehehe. We're so sorry we missed Scruffie's poker pawty. We're so irritated with this internet service that goes on & off every few minutes & now it goes down for hours. It's all due to the flooding. We should be happy though, we are much more fortunate than many people that lost their entire homes. One town near us was hit by that big tornado on May 25th, then the WHOLE town flooded. So many homeless people now, very sad. Next time you are having a pawty, send us a pmail too, sometimes we can't get to the bloggies & when the service cuts out, sometimes bloglines loses the status on blogs & we don't know who has posted lately.
Luv & Wirey Hugs!

pssst! I also heard from Peter Pan that you should "never smile at a crocodile" - just thought that may be helpful someday.

I was sitting on the edge of my seat reading your story! I am so happy that everyone is safe and sound. Your mom is so little I have a hard time believing that she could squish the alligator with her weight! She must have made you write that!

Three cheers for Stuffie Stan, what a hero.

Now those highlights...... they must have taken ages to do, our hooman moans she has to sit in the hairdressers for 2 hours having her mop sorted, we don't mind though means we get a bit of peace!
