Lacie and Stan: GROUNDED!!!!

Scruffy here...that flight back from S. Africa was exhausting...I was so glad that Mango's lap is large enuff to accommodate both MJ and Lacie. Neither MJ or Mango looked like they were enjoying Lacie's company, but that didn't seem to matter to her....the beast is clueless as to when she's not wanted.

So we get home and GUESS WHAT...the BLACK and TAN Club is GROUNDED....yeppers...

Look at 'em here...I love this pic of my siblings...it shows how Lacie can turn a fairly normal Dale into a crazed one, with one of her famous Lacie GLARES...havin' been on the receivin' end of those GLARES too many times, I totally understan why Stan looks nutso...

Anyway, before we went on our African 'Venture, Lacie and Stan were outside one day barking at the mail truck.

And Mumsie FORGOT their electric collars...(she won't do that again....)

Yep.....they bolted our of our yardie and CHASED THE TRUCK UP THE STREET. I, Scruffy, was a GOOD DOG and didn't join them cuz I WAS LOCKED IN THE HOUSE.....(by accident...)
The mailman was terrierfied of the Black and Tans...they were standin' in the middle of the street barking and Lacie was shrieking so loudly that Khyra had to have heard her in eastern PA....Mumsie actually ran up the hill...trust me, that hasn't happened in years. It took her and one of our neighbors to catch them...Lacie kept taking off and Stanley just barked and barked....Mumsie was TOTALLY HYSTERICAL...mostly cuz she thought I was with them and she couldn't find me and she thought I had been squished by the truck. Nope...I was stuck in the kitchen...
Neighbor carried the snarling Lacie (he was afraid of Stanley; Mumsie tried to tell him he was afraid of the wrong dog) and Mumsie dragged Stanley home....they got yelled at but they didn't seem to care. I Scruffy, being a GOOD DOG tucked my tail and hid in the corner...even though I hadn't done anything wrong...
Mumsie said she aged at least 2 decades in ten minutes....Lacie had to make her a smoothie....she couldn't stop shakin'......

Thought you guys might find this pic interesting. Lacie made a TOTAL PIG of herself at Tanner's birthday party....she ate fourteen pieces of barkday cake that Asta made.
You know what they say...
A minute on the lips...
Forever on LACIE'S HIPS...
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Scruffman, Who Isn't Grounded.....(because he's a GOOD DOG!!!)

OMdoG, OMdoG.. what an adventure Lacie and Stan had.. well good thing you were accidentally locked in the kitchen.. or else you'd have been grounded along with the other 2!!

Your poor mumsie.. hope the run up the hill didn't wear her out too much!! Happy weekend..

Oh Scruffy! You are my hero!!! How courageous of you to not get involved in that foolishness.

Lacie and Stan, never, and I do mean never, ever, chase the mail truck! That is not a wise thing to do. Mail trucks are loaded with treats!! That's what our mail truck is, a dog treat delivery system. I love the mail truck and wait for it every day. And the mail carrier and I are real good buddies. In case you forgot how great the mail truck can be, revisit the opening video on my bloggie and you will see what I mean.

Love and Koobuss Kisses,
Koobie

Oh my, that is very very dangerous. You must be careful in the future. You could be squished by the truck.

We'll comment tomorrow. Or as soon as we're once again allowed our pleasures in life. Lacie and Stan are not the only ones in the doghouse. We, uh, I sort of got in trouble tonight. Had something to do with "hunt and destroy."

It's your guess as to who wrote this.

A Non Eemous. xxoo

Oh no! Grounded - but they were doing the right thing - the mail truck can bring treats but it also brings bills, junk mail and postcards from the Vet (talking about getting needles stuck into you for booster shots).
So we hope they do not get grounded for too long - plus it is good for humans to run and increase their heartbeats - keeps them healthy - honest...
I hate the postman - I do not know why I hate the postman but I do - Paddy loves everybody - I think he might be a bit simple ;-)
So tell them to keep up the good work - we all need a little excitement now and then.

Lots of licks

Scruffman! You are the only good dog in a sea of black and tan trouble. I can't believe that person actually had the strength to hoist the snarling beast.

Mom will need some botox and advanced spa treatments to recover her youthful glow for sure.

Oh yeah, you might need to go to court with Khyra. I think she might have suffered hearing loss from spending too much time near the shriek beast. In fact, the whole state of PA might be after her. Good thing she is easy to find what with her giant buttocks and all.

Slobbers,
Mango

That is FAR too much action for pooches who are supposed to be recovering from an African expedition! No wonder you are grounded!
You guys have far too much energy...Now you probably won't get mail anymore. Have you dogs no respect for your humans?!
Eish...me thinks you need some more African discipline!

Lacie, I am loving your picture on the blog's masthead! Glad you got back without a scrape. (I hope you have DIY dogdoors you can use so you don't miss any dates while you're "grounded." We're earthdogs: we don't need no grounding!!)

Good Boy Scruffy...ya know, if they terrorize the mailperson enough, you will get a letter from the post office and have to go there to pick up your mail. Happened to the Muzzer. And the dog...no, it wasn't ME...it was a Springer Spaniel..well known for their predatory tendencies, right?

Anyway...lay off the mailperson, bother the FedEx truck instead.

I am sure Lacie & Stan thought that the mailman was bringing them a package of some sorts, is all.
I wonder how many smoothies the mailman had after his adventure? snicker snicker.

Shame shame on you Lacie. I'm sure you led baby Stan astray.

Hope the mailman still delivers presents though.

I sort of think my sister must have some Lakeland terrier in her somewhere because I think she acts way too much like Lacie. I mean she's a real b*tch sometimes. Whenever she's getting yelled at I put my tail between my legs and hang my head low too, Scruffy. But I bet they had a great time chasing that mail truck though. I like to chase golf carts when I'm at the park and boy does it ever make my girl mad!
Woof,
Keeley

Good dog Scruffy. Smart boy. And woah looking foxy. Your back end isn't like a bus at all. Or even a barkday cake. Lacie take note.

As for Momsie aging 2 decades. She must look all of 30 now then.I didn't hear her screeching. Mom's screams over the dead rat and rabbit drowned her out.Silly leggeds.

Wiry loves and kisses Eric xxx

Good boy, Scruffy - your poor Mom must have been out of her mind with worry. Tell those other two not to ever do that again. Besides scaring the Mom, they forgot that it is the mailman who brings all the good stuff to pups.

Oh boy you guys, that was a REAL bad move!! Especially since Mom is taking your package to the post office tomorrow and I am hoping the postman isnt ticked off at you guys and decides to keep it.

As for Lacie's buns, we didn't think she'd ever stop eating cake. Thank Dog Asta is a great hostess and made a ton of cake so everyone got some.

You guys better be GOOD or Mumsie might keep the stuff I am sending you!!

It must be the cooler weather but it seems like a lot of us got in trouble this week. I am soooo glad you are all ok! How scarey for your Mumsie! On the other hand, how exciting to slip the bonds of the collar and run FREE!

Wow what an adventure! How far exactly did you make your poor Mumsie run? Was it like marathon distance or just a gentle jog around the block?

We are so glad Lacie and Stan are now at home safe and sound.

Oh horrors! Can imagine the hooman mommy was a wreck! Something about when we take to the open road that gets them. We can relate...Baby is now only allowed out to run in the evening because she took me on an adventure across the county road a few weeks ago. Night is okay cause she's a bit afraid of the dark so stays close to the cabin. I always stay close to home unless BRD lures me out of bounds.
