Mumsie was on her cell this mornin' when she heard us bark to go out...she opened the door without lookin'...(HER MISTAKE) and we took off...this is what she saw...now these aren't the exact deer...the twins were a little bigger and the mama deer was way meaner lookin' than this one...
The twins took off into the brush, but Psycho Mama turned and faced us down... she started stompin' her hooves and snortin'...we were all of 10 feet from her on our side of the invisible fence....
Mumsie freaked out completely cuz Mama Deer looked like Mother Bear by that point...she went racin' and screechin' at the Mama...member the time she tossed the half loaf of whole wheat bread????...well, this time she upped her arsenal...it was either to toss her cell phone....naaaaaaaaaaa...or this.....
Yeppers...she tossed her DEARFOAM SLIPPER...right at Psycho Mama...landed 'bout two feet from her nose...she looked disgusted and turned and fled...probably the odor of the slipper...PEEEEEEEEUUUUUUUUU!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!
The nurses arrived en force to help Lacie nurse Stanley...here's Asta zoomin' in on her Vespa (IN HIGH HEELS!) with some kind of dinosaur soup...can't remember the name of it...but boy, was it tasty...Stan loved havin' the girls; Asta, Koobie, Aggie and well Lacie spoon feed him....he was feelin' WAY better till this evening when he and Lacie were out playin' and he musta hurt his leggie again...he came in limpin' really badly.
He didn't want to rest till I found this for him....EAT UR HEART OUT, JOE STAINS!!!!!

Lacie...take it easy on poor Stan for a little while, OK? It will help him heal faster. We are putting him on our list for healing thoughts and prayers.

If anything can make Babystan feel better it's that hamburger bed.
Our Mommy added Stan to her prayer list.

That is a lovely photo of Stanley in the grass. We love it!
Sorry to hear it still isn't 100%
You'd better rest up buddy.
As for those deer...the odour from the slipper must have been a killer if they felt the need to run away. Poor things hehe.

Your mum is brave. Is she always armed with a slipper? She needs a slipper holster - Blaah! Momma deer must of understood - (in a mum to mum kind of way) maybe she has Dearfoams back at the deer house for protection too? Hope Stan gets to feelin better.

hello terriers its dennis the vizsla dog oh hay wow!!! that is the biggest berger i hav ever seen!!! now is it strictly for sleeping on or can wun also eet it???
Great bed - but it makes us kind of hungry! We thought it was funny that your Mom took on the deer with a slipper - pretty inventive - appropriately named DEERfoam.
Hope Stan's leg gets better - he is getting all that attention so maybe he is haming it up a bit more - to get more cuddles and soup from the ladies?
Lots of healing vibes
Sally and Paddy
Little Beast,
I must say that your healing skills seem to work in some strange way. My guess is that Stanny will be up and about soon.
Regarding the whole deer / slipper thing. I suspect your mom has just gone totally cracker dog. Sigh. Maybe deer foam is made of deer and that was some sort of strange warning... "this could be you!" But I doubt it.
Slobbers,
Mango
Ooooh, that was so exciting! Those deer were so close.....we'd have been turning inside-out by then!
Ummm.....I don't think Asta's wearin regulation footwear there.....much better in some sensible clogs...but so nice of her to bring dinosaur soup (did it have bones in it?!?!)
We're still hoping for BabyStan's speedy recovery....and that last photo has our Mum melting, hehe, soft lump she is!
Slobbers xx
Who knew deer could be so scary?!
Was mumsie able to rescue her Dearfoam?
That is one cool hamburger bed!
We're sending BabyStan lots more AireZen! We hope he's back to 100% soon!
Love ya lots,

Hooray for Super Slipper Shooter! We hope Stan's leg is better soon.

Oh deery me! It's all happening at your place!
Flying slippers! giant hamburgers! Asta on her Vespa and poor Stan with his bag leg.
We do hope he gets better soon, lots of zen coming your way.
Molly, Taffy and Monty
we hope Babystan's leg is getting better. did he go to the vetty?
your mumsie has quite an arsenol of weapons that she uses against the wildlife predators - whole wheat break, dearfoam slippers, and a cell phone. no wonder the creatures keep coming back. hee hee!
woofs.
Stanny! I've seen Toffee with a bed thingy like a double whopper. Not that I've been in her bedroom or anything...think they would make matching one with fries huh?.Hope you get one when you are all better. And leave off playing with Lacie and Scruffy the old Nelly Elephant.
Wiry love and kisses Eric xxxx
Oh my, Lacie. I am so sorry to hear this. I was so sure that with all us nurses there that Stan would be much better by now. We will just have to turn our nursing care up a notch. That will cure him.
Love and Koobuss Kisses,
Koobie
pee ess Hi Scruffy.
We are sending healing vibes to Stan. Of course we are late. That hamburger bed is sure to make anyone feel better. Mumsie is lucky that Mama deer did not jump on her.
Hahahahaha! Dearfoams to chase away a deer! Good thinkin', Mumsie! Our mom is looking for some snakefoams! She saw one in our neighbor's back yard that was at least 4 1/2 feet long! We're sure glad it didn't come over here! We don't know what kind it was, but Mom says it doesn't matter. To her, they are ALL poisonous!
Love the burger bed! That should heal Stanley's leggie in a big hurry!
Aire-hugs,
Poppy, Penny & Patches
You mean your Mom torpedoed her slipper at the mama deer! Wooeee! I'd like to have seen that! (Seriously, listen guys, don't make your Mom mad, okay?) hee hee

omdog a BURGER BED?!?! WFT?! Tanner just made me a stupid boring snuggle ball and you get a BURGER BED!! sheesh. AND nursing care?? maybe I need to fake a leg injury. I am so jealous!! I wonder if Tanner could conjure me one of those??
Lacie girl,
I see that yer smile and innate charm hasn't dimmed at all.....but I must tell ya that we're in the middle of the woods 'n ya are seein' more deer than we are...in fact we have seen none since we been at our cottage....'n that's good cause Gram's mad cause they ate her plants while we were gone...
Toby is still the same size but he seems bigger cause he's much slimmer than me 'n Mom....don't know why either cause he eats like a pig too.......jumps like a gazelle and runs like a nut job....
When we get back home we have lots ta post cause we've been havin' a ball here....
I'm gettin' Gram hog-tied ta make sure she helps us with our blog...if not I'm runnin' away.....'n that would have 'er in tears fer sure.....
I didn't get ta finish before that silly blogger sent my comments right along.

What a great bed - that will surely be the cure for Stan's leg. Was Mom's slipper a "dearfoam" one? Ha roo rooooo.
