Defending the Perimeter...NOT!

Here I am guardin' the property from intruders and the like.
My helper, Scruffy. His tongue alone would scare anyone away!!!!! (Not to mention his NOT SO SWEET Foxy Breath. That stuff could be patented for self-defense usage.)

My other assistant, Babystan. Um, the ears are a problem. How can an INTRUDER take this Big Dale seriously?

OBVIOUSLY, THEY DON'T.

We had a Terrier Stare Down. Can you believe the CHEEK of this guy??? ?Er girl?

What's missin' from this pic is the large Dale butt of Babystan. His tail is tucked quite securely between his leggies. Obviously, he was afraid Bambi was gonna take a nip of it.

Even Scruffy's mad barkin' couldn't convince this Wild Animal to leave......

We stood out here for what felt like forever. Then we heard Daddy pouring his cereal into his bowl. AHHHHHH....Kellogg's "Fresh Kill." One of Daddy's favorite flavors. The other name for it is Shredded Wheat Maple Brown Sugar. We came runnin' inside leaving Bambi out there. There was NO WAY we three terrier protectors were gonna miss a chance at sharin' breakfast.

BTW, not to drag out Mumsie's Barkday any longer than necessary, but remember the cake in the last post that Asta was flyin' in in the hot air balloon. Thought ya mite like to see the top of it before we ATE it!!! Yep...one of Bruvver's college roomie's mom's makes cakes....and freehands the designs on the top. Have ya ever seen anything so 'dorable in ur life??? Do you think she made me a tad too blond???? Or fat? Icing is such a tough medium.....

That cake is beautiful! I must admit that I would run and hide from the vishus deer, myself.

OK...I bet if you had scared that Bambi so it didn't make a meal on your garden, you might have gotten a piece of the cakey. Lacey, you look just beautiful, I am sure she only anticipated the lovely color your hair will be at the end of summer.

OMG, I can't believe that deer wasn't scared off by you three, talk about brave. It's too funny that babystan was scared, but I bet I would have been too.

I've had the mini wheats that your Dad eats, that are so yummy. I come running when I hear them hitting the bowl too!

Mumsies cake is one of the best one I've ever seen, and so fitting. Happy belated birthday Mumsie! He he!

Kirby

Your visitor was a lot cuter than our visitor of a few days ago. I prefer fur to scales anytime. Although your guest was a lot taller than ours.

Ahem, guys, aren't you supposed to chase these big woodsy doggies off your property? You look like you were visiting with her. But you did the right thing when you went inside. Breakfast is much more important than chasing Bambi. She'd probably outrun you anyway.

Love and Koobuss Kisses,
Koobie

pee ess Scruffy, you are my hero, the way you stood up to her and all. I love you, Scruffy.

It's me, Koobie, again.

Very impressive cake! It must have broke Auntie Mumsie's heart to cut it.

Wow! We were excited about the deer until we saw the CAKE! Big Bruvver's roomie's mom did a great job! Much better idea to eat cake than to eat Bambi!

Keep up the guard duties...you're doin' a great job!

I can't believe you guys dared to go close to that Bambi. I think we would not be sooo daring coz we might get hoofed by it! Hey, like your Mumsie's cake. So cute!

Lacie Girl!

I noticed that you were at the back of the pack during the staring contest. Good move. You're obviously the brains of the outfit.

Watch it next time Bambi comes calling! I've heard of them all-of-a-sudden running down dogs and trying to stomp them to death! I'm sure YOU could handle yourself, but I'm not so sure about your two... ahem, assistants.

The cake is almost too adorable to eat (that's what my girl said). Hoomans have no sense of the important. I told her, IT's CAKE, WOMAN! OF COURSE they're gonna eat it!

THat lady who free-handed you guys in icing is pretty stinkin' good. Maybe she was doing your end-of-the-summer coat, and that's why you're so blond.

Goober love & more birthday smooches to mumsie,
Stanley

Thanks for taking STella off my paws and out of my beard for a few days and letting her "help" therapyize Georgie Boy in NYC. It means a lot.

What wonderful watch doggies you all are! I think that the deer was so afraid that she couldn't move. Yes, that is it.
Happy birthday to the mom.
Oh give me an email I need to send you something. My e mail address is on my blog page.

Lacie,

Pawsome guarding pals but me thinks the Bambi is a cardboard cut out . . .she isn't moving much. A bit like the cut out man you had before. Did you make it from the Shredded Wheat Maple Syrup boxes??? He,he,very clever, almost had me fooled for a minute or twenty.

Oh and Lacie, you ARE the icing on the cake, every time, you cutie pie.

Wags, Eric x

we can't believe you guys didn't chase that deer? Babystan! you're a big ferocious terrier, right? you need to run right out there and nip on that deer's heels. then run away fast! hee hee

woofs. (don't listen to us. Bailey is the dog who is afraid of horses. he wouldn't even walk down the road when the horses were behind the fence. heehee!!)
