Lacie's Fix It Surgery...Cancelled...!

Hey Everybody....I wanted to let you know that the vet cancelled my Fix It Surgery on Friday. They stole my blood on Tuesday, and she called Mumsie today and told her that my clotting times were prolonged. Dr. Vampire is concerned that I might have this thing called Von Willenbrand's Disease and she needs to steal MORE blood to figure that out. She said it's genetic to Lakies. So there. She said she'd let us know. I don't think it's a doggie big deal, but it's better to find it out before they start the fix it surgery!

Mumsie took time off next week to rock me and now there's no surgery. And Scruffy's taking Koobie to the Penn State game on Saturday, and I wasn't invited. He SAID it was because I would be not feeling so hot, but now the surgery's cancelled and I'm still not invited. I think Scruffy's "in looooovvvveee." Hey, I can tease him...I just read the blog...SNAPDRAGONS??? I'm surprised he didn't find flowers called "Bitchy Sister" or something similar. He thinks I can't figure out his passwords. He's written Koobie's name about 15 times with rawhide sticks.

The sheep above are some friends of ours. It might be fun to have them come to Asta' s Party. They are usually known for their good times as you can see.

Thank you for all of the loving thoughts sent this way for my surgery...just delay them a couple weeks...I'll keep you posted!! Non clotting lakies licks,

Pee Ess.....Good bye Summer!!!!!!!!!

Whoa...if you want more summer , come and visit us in Azrizona...we have at least another month temps over 100 degrees on a regular basis.

Tell Scruffy to enjoy the Penn State game with Koobie

Hey, Sweet Gooblacci!!

I see that you and Nanook have hooked up. He's a cool cat (you know what I mean). He'll treat you right, too.

Bummer about the blood deal, but glad you don't have to have surgery this week. Whenever you DO have it, you'll be back to your old self in NO TIME! You're saucy and I'm sure you won't tolerate being down for long.

I love your pool pic. Don't we all look so different with our faces wet? Your hair on top looks a little like the Scruff man.

If you don't have plans this Saturday, you and Nanook should come with all of us to Chilli's beach pawty! If you need a ride, Ruby can pick you up on her private jet! Let me know if you guys are coming!

Goober love,

Mama thinks you should come to our house and show me how to really play in the pool. I pass through mine, and go in to fetch the balls mama throws in there, but I don't get as wet as you! Mama says it looks like you have fun in your pool. Hey! I have fun in mine!

Hey Lacie,
We're so sorry to hear you might have that weird blood disorder. Mama read up on it & hoomans get it too. Some don't even need treatment, just depends on the type you may have. We hope they get things figured out soon so you can get your Fix It surgery out of the way. You want to be sure to have it to help lower your risk of certain cancers later in life. You should notify your breeders if you do in fact have this. They should not breed your furparents again, sigh... Please let us know what you find out. And don't worry about the fix it surgery, 'Piece of Cake' is how Snickers describes it, heheheh.
Luv & Wirey Hugs!

Oh dear, what's going on with you? A blood disorder? What's that? At least they found it. Don't worry about the fix it surgery. It's easy. By the second day you won't even know you had it.

Will see you at the beach party after the game. Scruffy and I will be coming in Ruby's jet, too.

Hope everything goes well with your blood and that this doesn't turn out to be a serious problem. Good luck with it.

Love and Koobuss Kisses,

Too bad you couldn't get your fix it surgery. I'm recovering from mine at the vet right now and telepathically telling my mommy what to write. I feel a slight breeze on my back end and a few ounces lighter but overall I am doing good the VET said. Mom says she hopes you are able to do the Fix It because those ovaries and uterus only make you more emotional. Haha!

I went to Ricky Pepppers..whoa, what a day they had..we wewe laughing ouw heads off...
Do you think it's dangewous to go to the beach pawty on a waft? I'll be fine..I know how to swim and so does Stanney,hehehe..see you thewe

i do hope it's no big deal, this clotting thing! anyways, do you have a bottle of styptic powder handy at home, just in case since now we know that you've got a bit of clotting problem?

take care lacie and have a nice weekend!

ps: that lobster never got cuffed or cooked that day. i don't think we'll ever get to taste him but IF i do, i promise you one bite!

I have faith in you Lacie.... I'm sure Dr. Vampire drank too much of your blood and he just wants more blood for the other test. I'm sure...and hope with my toes/paws/ears/eyes crossed that you don't have the von willabird or something disease (you're not a Doberman!!).

Anyway, you know, if you check out STINKY's blog, he just had his lovelie-detachment surgery too and it was done by laser and because laser seals small blood vessels as it cuts, there was very little bleeding. You can read more on his blog.... but watch out for some graphic pictures and even a video...

Sorry it took me SOOO long to come by, you and your handsome brother Scruffy are very adorable together. I would love to be friends with you!!

Love nibbles,
Miss Sunshade

Whew! That was a close one. I hope you just ate something that made your blood do weird stuff (a Pirmanti's sammich, perhaps?) and tricked the V.E.T.

We're so glad you had the lab work before the surgery and caught that little problem in time. Hope the next lab is better and you get your fix-it over with.
