Here's their Christmas pic...to say Auntie Sus is organized is an understatement...yes, all those pressies are wrapped. Mumsie's not jelly, no, not at all.....
Lookit this kid!!! He came in the mail this morning from Scruffy's real dog bro, Rocket...his Peeps found him in an antique store and shipped him here....his fur is amazing...we're not totally sure how old he is and what he's made of, but he's one totally handsome foxy wire!!!
Mumsie noticed the other day that as he was sleeping on the kitchen floor, he was peein' in his sleep...not a hooooge puddle, but a pretty significant amount. She took a pee sample to Dr. Mary who proclaimed him free of IN FEK SHUN and said his urine was concentrated nicely and she wasn't worried 'bout his kidneys. If it continues, she has some medicine she can try, but it doesn't always work.
Scruffy's only four years old (five in March) and has never had really good bladder control...it took forever to get him housebroken...dog would drink from his water bowl while peein' in it at the same time...
The vet says urinary incontinence is more common in females than males...he just seems awfully young...any dog/kitty have any thoughts?????

Those organized people sure took a nice picture.
I don't know about Stan's problem. We've never heard of anyone sleep-peeing. I hope he resolves it soon.

We like the cool doggie you got in the mail. We wish we had stuff to tell you about the peeing. Our Grandma's dog had that problem but she was old and that's why it was happening. We hope you are able to find it out!

Mom doesn't like organized people - something about making her feel inadequate... (She just mailed some of the presents today. She still has more to mail on Monday... *sigh*) Diapers definitely work - my older brother Ben had bladder cancer, and wore diapers which worked really well. Hope Stan gets his bladder sorted out soon!

Oh dear, we are sorry to hear about Scruffy's problem, how horrid for everyone concerned. I'm afraid we can't offer any suggestions other than it does sound like a medical issue that you need to get to the bottom of (sorry about the pun) I mean diapers may help but...
We absolutely adore that foxy fellow that arrived in the mail!
Gail and Bertie,
Poor Scruffy must be mortified to have his picture taken with that shower cap on his hiney, Lacie! We hope you get some helpful suggestions - the poor guy!
What an adorable foxy Wire!
Love ya lots

Ok... now I can't offer anything other than this observation. hehehe
I think the shower cap on the butt thingy Might work if it was a Poop Shooter problem.
BUTT..... I think it is in the WRONG place fur a Pee Shooter problem. I'm just sayin'. hehehe
LAciekins
You awe sooo inventive
I think the showew cap on Scwuffy's bumbum is quite attwactive, I have no idea why he would be iwwitated by that(btw, that new wiwy stuffie is the spitting image of my gwandson, sigh, soo handsome)
as faw as Big Bwuvvew and Suz.., although they and theiw fuwwkids awe incwedibully attwactive, they just make mommi sick..such owganized hoomans should be locked up(ow sent to ouw house to help)
Now pleez stop giving Scwuffy so many smoofies, no wondew he can't hold it all in

Dear Miss Lacie:
I, Dr. Gustavas Adolphus Dagger (Kreuz) am a noted authority on peeing in the adult male Wire Fox Terrier.
One must first acknowledge and appreciate the extraordinary sensitivity of the adult male WFT. Therefore, further humiliation such as the shower cap attached to his rear end will not help, but will, in fact, create additional stress and increase the frequency of the problem.
We suggest that primary stressors be immediately removed. (that's you Lacie B, and prolly Stanny too) and then reintroduced slowly.
If all else fails, there are very festive belly bands.

Poor Scruffer. My Beautiful Raja had the pee pee sleep and also sometimes when she got up too fast and she had to take the lady hormone replacement therapy to help. I sure hope that isn't what you get. It is most worrisome and I, too, hope that you can find the cause because you are too young to be doing that.
I am sure momma lamb already mentioned this, but the only time I ever pee'd my bed was when I had a seizure. My seizure was HUGE, but is it possible that you have something less dramatic but similar going on?
Slobbers,
Mango
Mom has a real soft spot for cockapoo, and that Stella has won her heart with just that one photo - what a cutie and such a pretty color.
We don't know anything about the peeing in the sleep but we too wonder if he might be having some mild seizures. Maybe you should get a second opinion.

The Khokhk-A-Poops are khute - sorry to say!
Sorry 'bout Scruffman's issues - no history here with those kinds of issues but I would suspekht there is a male khounterpart to DES that girlie dogs get help with from their spay inknontinence!
Paws khrossed fur Mumsie!

Hey Scruff!
I used to wet the bed too!! Don't tell...it is kind of embarassing for a grown up dog like me. The vet said my PH was real high in my pee. We switched food and I don't drink our well water no more cuz it has a calcium filter on it. Anyway, it did the trick fur me!!
You can test your pee PH, with one of those pond test strip thingys.
Wyatt
Good luck with that...you don't want to wear a shower cap on yer backside!!
Mama had a female Dane with a similar problem [although she only peed in her sleep]; the vet said sometimes spayed females will do that when they feel really safe and are in a deep sleep. Khyra mentioned it first in her comment. She was on DES as needed [not all the time]. Don't know if any of that would help Scruffy, being a man-dog and all. Others have mentioned doggie diapers. They're not hard to find and might be worth using at night. He won't like them. Wyatt's suggestions sound like they're worth checking out, too. Good luck.
Merry Christmas, guys & gal!

Hey there, sorry to hear about the bed-wetter. My WFT Jack (yes a boy) developed the same pee pee problem when he was six.
He has propalin syrup which controls it, don't know if you can get the same stuff from your vet in the US.
Good luck :-)
Jayne
Gosh Scruffy, we're puzzled by your little problem. It doesnt sound serious but we're glad Mumsie took a piddle sample to the docs.
Maybe you can upgrade from a shower cap to a nappy.
We hope someone knows something about this cause we're stumped.
Noah Willow Tess Lucy
Sorry to hear of Scruffy's problem.
I've never heard of dogs doing that.
You don't think he is worried by the new stuffed dog in the house do you!
Presents under the tree, no we have none :( she thinks I'll chew them up!!! The cheek of it
Have a Great Christmas to all your family

Sorry to hear about Scruffies little problem.
We had the same problem with Ellie and we thought it might be her age (then 11) but we took her to vet & it was actually an infection 14 days tablets and the problem went away.
We like the shower cap idea..could be a market created gor butt caps!
Take care and we hope you get to the bottom of the problem.

'bout Scruffy's pee problem: are you sure it's pee? only my big brother has recently had this problem only IT WASN'T PEE! Apparently his hormones are all confused ...
Scruffy dude. That Lacie..tell her to take that shower cap off you like now dude or I'll tell Mumsie all about her and Asta at the "museum".
Man that little problem is a pain in the whatsit, worrying too. Could it be to do with your diet/food? Maybe it makes you drink to excess/more than Lacie and Stan? Hope Mumsie can sort this for you pal. I mean as IF you would wear diapers. What an insult.
Pawslaps square cousin. Eric xxx
